SKETCHBLOG: 9/01/09

Buck certainly has gone through a few permutations comic-strip wise, but here is the basic idea of his look: From Golden Age/ Public Domain Anyways, Thought I’d give redesigning him a try, remembering the remodel Buck thread at Warren Ellis’ Freakangel forum.

I only got one sketch done yesterday morning.  A remodel of classic space adventure newspaper comic character, BUCK RODGERS.  Buck certainly has gone through a few permutations comic-strip wise, but here is the basic idea of his look:

I made the classic space adventurer over using a mash-up of European 19th century Naval uniform-meets-samurai. Fun to do.
