found this zoomable image viewer called ZOOMIFY. Like CLOSR, and a few others, this account based service works like a FLICKR or PICASA account; upload images, blah blah. Zoomify (in beta ) lets you embed single or multiple images into “albums” that can zoom in & out of the images as well as a full-screen “above the browser” mode. This is exactly the kind of thing I’m looking for for when HOLLIDAY the webcomic goes live. The free account service gives you 2 gigs of total storage- 150 megs per album. As of today, there is no premium account in place but they claim to be working on it. I hope that it’s reasonably priced(like flickr). The ability to have multiple images, the elegance of interface and loading speed make it the best I’ve found so far. Here is a test Album using a single page of Holliday.
Here’s some cool Flickr Toys I found today called BUBBLR and BOOKR. Bubblr lets you can make comic strips with any flickr photos; in my case, I only used pics from my account. Goofy- but a fun coffee break diversion. Give it a try!
Bookr makes a tiny flash “book” from flickr photos- with the now overdone “page-flipping book” technique.
Despite any thoughts of this being trite- I have to say I like Bookr. It’s usable, IMO, as a quick-n-dirty web portfolio, or for making tiny webcomics.
for a comic story I’m doing with Grant Alter.
Work in Progress. Ink/Pen, washes- later photoshop…
Mark “MytMark” Torres is a great up and comer Philipino arteest and friend who I HAD to tell y’all about- we had an awesome IM conversation today and thought – I should introduce you all to him.
J. R. “Bob” Dobbs in one of his more autobiographical film appearances.
Thank you to zontarnet for this rare secret clip of our fave SEXBEAST taking what’s his, by ZOD!
