These are nice, Gregory. Would I be wrong to assume any of these were done by hand, with old fashioned markers and such? Your exceptionally good at the computer coloring , so it’s hard for me to tell!

Excellent question, Jav, old bean- The first and third were drawn with a sketchy pencil , then a mix of Hunt Hawkquill, ef Globe and some #4 brush with Black Magic ink, followed by some sepia wash(made from COFFEE) and grey ad marker. The 2nd 4th and 5th were drawn with a standard PITT Faber-Castell Artist Pen set- emphasis on the M,S and brush pen, followed by some sepia wash and grey ad marker. After they’re done, I scan them in and use some adjustments in PS to burn/dodge the existing paper tone and washes. This way the overall earthy tones are valid not totally synthetic. The last one was mostly ball point and sharpies- tweaked to death with the crude editing/enhancement color tools in PICASA 3. Hope this clarifies. Maybe sometime soon I’ll do a live or not live tutorial video on USTREAM or somesuch. Would anyone want such a thing?

      Thanks again Javi!

Speaking of which: Saturday night I went to the D&D musical, Tripod vs. the Dragon, with one Matt Wimmer, who is apparently a Burlington crony of yours. And of course tomorrow is D&D night with Merrick Hard. This is one small fluking state.

I’ve known Matt for many years, although it had been more than , God, 8 yrs. at least since I saw him- last week at Borders he just showed up out of nowhere and we had a decidedly awesome geek-talk! BTW, I really fell in love with Border’s Cafe all over again when they switched to FREE WIFI from that god-awful ripoff T-Mobile contract. Good for you Borders! That’s awesome that you play D&D- I thought Merrick & Fam lived not in VT? Tell him I said Hi and I desperately need the “25th LEVEL BARD” album/mp3’s- he’ll know from what I mean. FIGHT THE LICH!
